Group Visits
For larger groups, we recommend a pre-booked tour with your own guide. Guided tours can be given year round, in Swedish or English.
During the tour, history will be brought to life by putting the collections and historical characters into context and our museum experts will ensure that your visit is particularly memorable.
Drottningholm Palace is on UNESCO's World Heritage list. It is the most well-preserved royal castle built in the 1600s in Sweden and at the same time is representative of all European architecture for the period. Influenced by French prototype, the palace was built by architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder by commission of Queen Hedvig Eleonora. A number of royal personages have since then left their mark on the palace.
Tours can also be chosen according to specific interests, such as architecture, interiors, art or historic events.
We welcome group visits to Drottningholm Palace year round!
